Dear Momauguin Families,

Thank you to all who attended this month's PTO Meeting last week. We had a wonderful turnout. The executive board has been doing an amazing job to ensure all Momauguin students experience the fun of being an elementary student. With the additional support of new members, our organization can accomplish even more, ultimately providing more for the students of Momauguin School.

There are many ways to support the PTO. One way is to serve as a classroom liaison. Each teacher will have two classroom liaisons. Please complete this form for consideration of this role. If more than two parents/guardians would like to serve as the liaison, two names will be randomly selected.

Thank you for your continued support and for being so active in your child's education.

Just a reminder- there will be an early dismissal this Wednesday, September 24th at 1:15pm.

Telecommunication Devices In Schools

This is an important notice regarding the use of telecommunication devices during the school day. There are a few important things I would like to share regarding these devices students may have and the District Policy on using them in school.

Elementary school students are prohibited from the use of any telecommunication devices while on school property. This includes smartphones and smart watches. Please ensure your child is aware of this policy. For a complete list of telecommunication devices you may reference Policy 5131.81 on the District Website.

Many families feel it is important to send a phone with a child for communication at aftercare programs. Students should be informed to keep this in their backpack.

Working together we can minimize distractions and ensure student devices are kept secure.

Halloween Dance Party 10/10/25

Save the Date for the PTO Halloween Dance Party! This event will be held at East Haven High School on Friday, October 10th from 6-7:30 pm. Tickets will be going on sale soon. If you need assistance with transportation to the event, please email Julie Church jchurch@easthavenschools.org.

WHAT A GREAT TURNOUT FOR OUR PTO MEETING. BETWEEN IN PERSON AND ZOOM THERE WERE 22 IN ATTENDANCE!

THAT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

IT WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL, FAST PACED MEETING AND THOUGH IT MAY HAVE BEEN A LITTLE OVERWHELMING FOR SOME, PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR WHAT'S COMING UP.

INFORMATION ON OUR NEXT PTO MEETING WILL BE. COMING SOON. WE LOOK FORWARD TO CREATING AN AMAZING YEAR FOR THE KIDDOS!

Family Resource Center

The East Haven Family Resource Center is based out of Momauguin Elementary School and Overbrook Early Learning Center.

The Family Resource Center offers:

Free diapers through our Diaper Bank
Free food at our biweekly Mobile Food Share
Parenting support and early intervention through resources, referrals, and our home visitation program with developmental screenings
Parent workshops twice a month
Play and Learn groups for children not yet enrolled in school

The mission of the Family Resource Center is to support families on their parenting journey and make sure every child has access to the resources they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Breakfast and Lunch are FREE for all EHPS Students

All students who attend East Haven Public Schools are eligible to receive a free healthy breakfast and a free nutritious lunch at school everyday during the school year through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Click Here for the monthly menu.
