Family Newsletter

October 5, 2025
Dear Momauguin Families,

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend. We continue to have warm sunny days on the weekend, perfect for family fun time outdoors. The experiences you have with your children build background knowledge from experiential learning. We are partners in the education of your child but realize you are their first teacher. Thank you for providing the foundation for which we can build upon, so they can thrive in the school setting.

As a reminder, safety is our top priority and we need your help to ensure arrival and dismissal for car riders remains safe for students, families and staff. Please follow the guidance for drop off by remaining in your car with your child and join the drop off line at the front of the school. Students and families crossing from the lot present safety concerns. If families are taking up the spots in the lot for this reason, staff are unable to find parking to make it in on time to ensure safety inside the school building.
Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

In partnership,

Recycling at Momauguin School

Our Student Council will be assisting with recycling efforts at Momauguin School. We have recycling bins for bottles and cans in every learning space,as well as high traffic areas throughout the school. We are looking for family volunteers to help us turn these recycled items into funds to support school-wide initiatives. If you are interested, please contact Julie Church at jchurch@east-havenschools.org.

Did you know that recycling is mandatory in Connecticut? Everyone must recycle. That includes residents whether living in a single or multi-family building, every business including non-profits, and all public and private agencies and institutions (e.g. colleges, hospitals, local and state government agencies).  It's the Law!  Visit RecycleCT to learn about the benefits of recycling right.
