Family Newsletter

May 24, 2026
Dear Momauguin Families,

It is hard to believe that the end of the school year is rapidly approaching, with just four more weeks of school remaining! As exciting as this time of year can be, it can also bring increased anxiety for some students as routines begin to change and summer approaches. As a result, we often see an uptick in challenging behaviors during this time.

We ask for your partnership in helping to reassure your child that summer break will be a positive and enjoyable experience and that school routines will return before we know it. Maintaining consistent routines at home and having positive conversations about transitions can be very helpful in supporting students emotionally.

Additionally, we would appreciate your support in reminding students of the importance of being responsible, respectful, and kind to others each day. Recently, we have had multiple reports of unkind language among students. At Momauguin, we are committed to ensuring that all students feel safe, supported, and valued within our school community.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to help our students finish the school year strong and positively.

In partnership,
Julie Oca Church
Principal

The June 10th PTO Meeting has be cancelled.

Attention Grade 4 Families:
We are looking for parent volunteers to help decorate and set up for the 5th Grade Stepping Up Ceremony on Thursday, June 18th from 8:30–10:00 a.m. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.

This year, we would love for the families of next year’s Grade 5 students to help support our current Grade 5 families by assisting with preparations for this special event. Our hope is to begin a wonderful new tradition where each incoming Grade 5 class helps prepare the celebration for the class ahead of them. In turn, when your child is a 5th grader, families will do the same for you!

If you are available and would like to be part of this special tradition, please email:

Thank you for your support and partnership in helping make this a memorable celebration for our students!
